The Bacon District Volunteer Fire Department and Charlotte County Rescue responded to an overturned tractor-trailer carrying lumber on Hwy. 92 on Monday, Oct. 18, around 6:15 p.m. Both lanes of Hwy. 92 were blocked for approximately six hours. The driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene. All personel cleared the scene at 12:15 a.m. Local businesses and farmers helped with providing equipment to assist Franklins Towing with clean up of the lumber.
