The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a number of property thefts throughout the county.

According to investigators, most of the crimes are occurring in the Phenix, Abilene and Wylliesburg areas. 

A Tapco metal brake, tools including toolboxes and hand tools, and generators, trimmers, leaf blowers, and power tools have been stolen.

Investigators recommend owners log all serial numbers and keep them in a safe place. Law enforcement will be able to identify stolen property with this information. 

A cash reward is offered for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons involved. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office can be reached at (434) 542-5141.
