AUGUST 5

MUSIC IN THE LIBRARY GARDEN — The Thompson Family will present a program of classical, modern and sacred selections from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the Library Garden I Charlotte Court House. Please dress casually and bring a lawn chair. In the event of rain, the program will take place at Village Presbyterian Church. This event is free.

AUGUST 6

COMMUNITY MEETING — A community meeting hosted by Wyliesburg/Red Oak Board of Supervisors representative Kay Pierantoni Friday, Aug. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Bacon District Firehouse on Barnesville Highway in Wylliesburg.

AUGUST 8

NEW REHOBOTH CHURCH — Homecoming will be held at New Rehoboth Church Sunday, Aug. 8 at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Rev. John Craighead will be proclaiming the word. The service will be outside. Refreshments will be served.

AUGUST 15

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — Homecoming will be held Sunday, Aug. 15 at St. Andrews Baptist Church. Revival will be held Monday, Aug. 16, Tuesday, Aug. 17 and Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Troy Anderson. Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — The St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch will be worshipping in their church the second and forth Sundays at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to fellowship with us. Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at the Drakes Branch Municipal Building which is located at 4800 Drakes Main St. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Dan at (434) 210-8383.

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen will hold worship service the first and third Sundays at 11 a.m. Sunday school will be the first, second, third and fourth Sundays at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church will hold services the second and fourth Sundays at 11 a.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe will hold in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

LEBANON UNITED METHODIST — Until further notice Lebanon UMC on Crofton’s Gate Highway in Drakes Branch will be holding in-person worship at 11 a.m. on the first and third Sundays of the month. Masks are required to attend.

CHARLOTTE COURTHOUSE UNITED METHODIST — Until further notice Charlotte Courthouse UMC will be holding in-person services at 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Masks are required to attend. Services will also be broadcast on Facebook Live.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Rd., in Brookneal will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
