Barbara Ann Roberts, 65 of Chase City, passed away on April 26, in South Boston. She was the daughter of the late William B. Roberts and Lena Lambert Walton Roberts. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Sylvester Walton, Larry Roberts, Cornelius Roberts, Willie J. Clark and Clarence A. Roberts and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Walton Crawley.

She joined Organ Hill Baptist Church at an early age. She attended Charlotte County Public Schools before moving to Newark, New Jersey, where she completed her education.

Years later, she moved from Camden, New Jersey back to Virginia and began working for the Department of Social Services/Companion Services. After moving to Chase City, she was employed by America Plus as a caregiver for numerous clients.

Left to cherish her memory are six children; Gloria Roberts, Michael Roberts, Fern Roberts, Clifton Walls, Carla Walls and Keisha Williams; thirty-one grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Gail Bolden of Charlotte Court House and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 1, at noon at Browns Memorial Garden Cemetery in Saxe. Funeral arrangements were by Jeffress Funeral Home of Charlotte Court House.
