Deacon Johnny J. Walton peacefully made his transition on October 11, 2020 at his home in Drakes Branch.He was born December 27, 1944 to the late Edith Walton Lawrence and Sam Walton. Johnny was a hard worker and a man of principle. He was a highly decorated Vietnam veteran and a man of few words as his leadership and kindness set the standards for his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Gracie Jean; four sons, Dwayne (Angela), Corey (Lisa), Shawn and Tyese (Danielle); nine grandchildren, Dwayne Jr., Dontae’ Julius, Beyonce’, Jacori, Evelyn, Shaun Jr., Aniyah, Avalynn; great grandchild, Dontae’ Jr.; siblings, Sam (Mable), James(Audrey), Betty, Terry(Brenda), June (Howard); uncle, Willie Coleman; brother and sisters-in-law, Marion (Jesse), Luther (Betty), Carl Wayne (Bertha); host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at St. Michael Baptist, Drakes Branch. Interment with Military Rites in church cemetery.
