Johnny Baptist Jeffress, Jr. received his wings and departed this earthly life on July 13, 2020 at MCV Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was born on October 5, 1949 in Halifax County, Virginia to the late Johnny Baptist Jeffress, Sr. and Edna Sallie Turner Jeffress.

Johnny was educated in the Charlotte County Public School System. At an early age he confessed his life love for Christ and joined the St. Level Baptist Church.

After School, Johnny worked many jobs to support him and his family such as Virginia Carolina Paving and C & S Construction; he also was a plumber, mechanic and so was called a jack of all trades.

Johnny loved to listen to music, dance, do crossword puzzles and of course talk trash; he surely will be missed.

Preceding him in death was his parents, brothers: Harold and Alfred Jeffress and Willie Watson; sister: Annie Mildred Jeffress; nephew: Steven Jeffress and great niece: Diamond Aaliyah Jeffress.

Cherishing his special fond memories are his sisters: Virginia Kaye Jeffress and Inez Marie Jeffress of the home; brother: William Henry Jeffress (Catherine) of Richmond, Virginia; nieces: Charlene Jeffress of Red Oak, Virginia, Melinda Jeffress (Joe Watson) of Chase City, Virginia and Catherine Irby Ashley (Dana Ashley, Sr) of Blackstone, Virginia; Nephews: Darnell Jeffress of Red Oak, Virginia and Stacey Jeffress (Vicki Moseley) of Chase City, Virginia, Darrell Jeffress of Red Oak, Virginia; 15 great nieces and nephews; a dear friend: Bobby Boyd and his caregiver: Sherree Wood Terry and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 @11:00AM at St. Level Baptist Church, Clarksville, Virginia.

Services were entrusted into Carter’s Funeral Home, Clarksville, Virginia.
