A group of citizens held a peaceful protest in front of the courthouse in Charlotte Court House on Tuesday, June 9. The group of approximately 50 people held Black Lives Matter and one love signs while chanting “Black Lives Matter.” During the protest eight minutes of silence was observed and several citizens spoke sharing their views. Over the past week protests have erupted all over the nation in an effort to bring attention to racial injustice following the death of George Floyd.
