Randolph-Henry High School’s (R-H) yearbook, “The Log 2019,” won first place from the American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA). Yearbooks are evaluated in five categories: content presentation, general page design, general photography, publication structure, and creativity. Two staff members, Cole Pillow who graduated in May and Patricia Garcia, a senior, also received individual awards from ASPA for Outstanding Investigative Reporting. Pillow’s story, “Loving Your Job,” investigated the contributions of Wallace Stokes to Charlotte County Public Schools. Garcia’s story, “A Future of Service,” investigated Zach Patterson’s life after high school as a recruit in basic training for the United States Marine Corps. Patterson is a 2018 R-H graduate.
