Frederick Henry “Billy” Brooks was born on August 31, 1934 to James and Mary Brooks in Charlotte County. He departed this life on Friday, October 25, 2019. He married Pearl Riley on September 30, 1956. He served as a Deacon at Bethel Baptist Church in White Plains, NY and at Galilee Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Helena Brooks; brother, Everett (Mary) Brooks of Washingtonm DC; daughtres, Dee (Rev. Calvin) Miller of Stillwater, OK and Vicie Brooks (Morton) of Keysville; sister-in-law, Dolores Brooks; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 2 at Galilee Baptist Church, Randolph, VA with the Rev. James Lindsey, pastor. Interment was in the church cemetery.
