Charlotte County Emergency Services Coordinator Garland H. Hamlett Jr. has lifted the open-air burn ban, effective Monday, Oct. 21, for Charlotte County following the weekend’s rain fall.
Due to dangerously dry conditions that could cause rapid fire to spread, a county wide burn ban was enacted on Sept. 26.
According to The National Weather Service Charlotte County received 4.22 inches of rainfall over the weekend.
