Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative (MEC), donated a 2004 GMC truck to the automotive program at Southside Virginia Community
College (SVCC) to assist with training of future technicians. According to Jeremy Parenti, the lead instructor, “The donation
of this truck helps to round out our fleet of vehicles allowing our students to have hands-on training in a variety of vehicle
types.” Pictured are MEC employees delivering the truck and keys to SVCC officials, from left, Kris Newcomb and Ray DeJarnette
