Mr. Robert Linwood Clark, age 85 of Phenix, died on December 6, 2018 in Phenix. He was the son of the late Linwood Clark and Lottie Cabell Clark. He was married to Mrs. Vernell Jackson Clark.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Walter Clark; a grandson, Christian Clark; a sister Mary Copeland, and two brothers, James Clark and Clifton Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vernell Jackson Clark of Phenix; four sons, Harold Clark (Janet), Eddie Clark (Jackie) of Phenix, Yancey Clark (Gerald) of Roanoke, and Haywood Clark (Tonya) of Red House; three daughters, Diane White of Slidell, Louisiana, Janice Clark of East Orange, New Jersey, and Annette Haskins of Red House; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Carol Gee Clark; two sisters, Georgia Thomas of Farmers Branch, Texas, Geneva Younger of Roanoke, Virginia; three brothers, William Clark and Clyde Clark of Phenix, and Bobby Clark of New York; four sisters-in-law, Cecil McFarland of Baltimore, MD, Orister Tuck and Jeanette Stewart of Roanoke, and Edna Clark of Charlotte Court House; one brother-in-law, Percell Jackson (Beverly) of Phenix; two devoted nieces that he reared as his own daughters, Brenda Clark of Phenix and Ruth Walker of Charlotte Court House; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Phenix with interment at Henry Presbyterian Cemetery in Randolph.
