Mrs. Clara Scott Lambert answered our Heavenly Father’s call to “come home” on September 7, 2018. She passed away peacefully in New Jersey at the age of 90. She was born in Charlotte County on March 17, 1928 to the late Lucy Oliver.

She was gifted at designing crafts, clothing and window treatments and drawing and writing, which were her true passion. On February 21, 1948, she married Earnest H. Lambert. Together, they enjoyed 61 beautiful years before his sunset from this life in August 2009.

To cherish her memory are two loving daughters, Mahalia LaVerne Austin and Brenda Lambert Marshall; one grandson, Brian Austin (Alicia); two great-granddaughters, Makenna and Brielle Austin; two sons-in-law, George Austin and L.P. Marshall, Jr; nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

A Memorial Celebration of Life Services will be held 1at noon, Saturday, November 10, at the Gethsemane Presbyterian Church in Drakes Branch, Virginia.
