Ms. Carrie Jones, age 78 of Woodbridge, died on September 30, 2018 in Woodbridge. She was the daughter of the late James Nelson Jones and Theresia Overbey Jones.

She also was preceded in death by sisters, Lillie Mae, and Lucille; brothers, Freddie, Nelson Calbert, Robert Lee and Curtis.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Tines; her granddaughters, Avon, Monique, (Michael Boyd, Jr.) and Dominique; great-grandchildren, Shaneeka, Shana, Ron Jr., Michael Jr., Jabaar, Jaden, Courtney, China and Serenity; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Crawley of Bridgeport, CT and Mrs. Charlotte Butler of Woodbridge; two brothers, Mr. Joe L. Jones (Deloris) of Charlotte Court House, and Mr. Charlie L. Jones of Scuffletown; good friends, Mrs. Annie Wells, Mrs. Naomi Smith, Mrs. Irene and Ms. Tate; and a host of cousins nieces, nephew and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Mossingford Baptist Church in Saxe with interment in the church cemetery.
