Milton Dailey

Mr. Milton Dailey, 83, of Randolph, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.

Mr. Dailey, affectionately known as “Mike”, was born in Charlotte County, VA December 10, 1934 to the late Willie and Marie Haskins Dailey. He attended the schools of Charlotte County, and at an early age joined Rocky Branch Baptist Church. Mr. Dailey relocated to Brooklyn, NY, and retired from the Long Island Rail Road Company. He was a United States Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Sherman Brown, Homer Dailey, Earl Dailey and Wilbert Dailey and one sister, Edith Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 57 years, Virginia Gayles Dailey; three brothers, Linward Dailey, Drewie Dailey and Horace Dailey; two sisters, Doris Gibson and Eunice Burton, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Milton Dailey will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, September 20, at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with the Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, Sr. delivering the eulogy. Burial with military honors will follow in the Dailey Family Cemetery, Randolph, VA.
