BRUNSWICK STEW, 8:30-9:30 a.m. pickup at Concord Baptist Church in Chase City and 10:30 a.m. pickup at Sheldon’s in Keysville and the Drakes Branch Pavilion. Preorders may be placed no later than Sept. 17 by calling the Charlotte County Meals on Wheels office in Keysville at (434) 736-8441. Stew will be prepared by Scott Winn.

FALL FESTIVAL, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Cullen. The event will include inflatables, games, a cakewalk, face painting and more. The church is located at 918 Darlington Heights Road.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m. at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. Pastor Goode will deliver the message and lunch will be served. Everyone is welcome.

HOMECOMING, 11 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Abilene. The guest speaker will be evangelist the Rev. Matt Wilkins from Lynchburg. A covered dish luncheon will follow the service. Everyone is invited.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church. The guest minister will be Minister Edward Lockett from Charlotte, North Carolina and the guest choir will be the Beautiful Zion Choir from Red House. All are invited.

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. nightly and 11 a.m. Sunday at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Cullen. The church is located at 918 Darlington Heights Road.

MEN’S DAY, 11 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church. The Rev. Glen Faulkner of White Pak Fork Baptist Church in Virgilina will be the guest speaker along with a guest male chorus.

SMOKEY WILSON CONCERT, 7 p.m. at Rough Creek Presbyterian Church. There will be light refreshments following the concert and all are welcome to attend. The church is located 3 miles north of Phenix on Highway 727.

OPPORTUNITY FUND SKEET AND TRAP CLASSIC, 8 a.m. registration at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center in Appomattox. participants will shoot one round each of skeet and trap, have breakfast and lunch, win prizes and take home awards for their shooting skills. All proceeds will go to the nonprofit Southside Opportunity Fund’s scholarships for graduating high school seniors in Southside Electric Cooperative’s (SEC) service area.
