A cabinet manufacturing plant in Keysville will close at the end of August, a representative with the company that owns the plant confirmed.

Siteline Cabinetry, located at 3930 Horseshoe Bend Road, will close Aug. 31.

Ann Rottinghaus, vice president of sales and marketing with The Corsi Group, which owns the Keysville plant, said in an email Monday.

“The U. S. cabinet industry is experiencing significant changes in consumer preferences and sourcing options,” Rottinghaus said. “We are consolidating available production capacity and leveraging full access cabinet construction expertise in our other two plants.”

The two plants are located in Indianapolis and Elkins, West Virginia.

“This is a tough business decision; however, we are committed to the longevity of all our brands, and optimizing the available capacity at our other two plants,” Pat Corsi, chairman and CEO for The Corsi Group, said in a news release from the company announcing the closure. “Today’s cabinet climate is in flux, but fortunately we are agile, assuring that the overall health of our company is strong,” he adds.

“All Keysville employees were informed of the plant closure in a meeting Tuesday, June 19,” Rottinghaus said.

The Keysville Siteline Cabinetry plant opened April 2015, the release cited.

“The company is working diligently to assure all displaced employees have adequate time to identify and secure new employment,” the release noted.

Rottinghaus said the company does not own the building, and said she does not know what plans are for the building following the closure.
