The tradition continues

I would like to congratulate Randolph-Henry High School’s varsity baseball team for its continued consistent success, even after a key coaching transition.

J.R. Allen led the Statesmen to great seasons in his time as head coach, keeping the team’s winning legacy strong and vibrant. In both 2016 and 2017, Randolph-Henry produced overall records of 20-3 and advanced as far as the regional tournament semifinals.

This meant there were high expectations for new Head Coach Josh Barmoy and his team entering this year. They met those expectations, adding another successful chapter to the storied history of the program.

There were times during the regular season in which the Statesmen were tested or came up short. They ended up with a couple more losses this year, but in the end, they finished with a characteristically outstanding record, 17-5, and once again were among the top teams in the region, advancing as far as the Region 2A semifinals.
