JUNE 4-7

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 8:45 a.m.- noon at Keysville United Methodist Church. The them will be “Rolling River Rampage” for ages 4 years-sixth grade. Register with a parent or guardian on June 4 between 8:30-9 a.m.

JUNE 4-8

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 6-8 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church. The theme for the week will be “Road to Discipleship” and snacks will be served.

JUNE 6

SUMMER FUN, 10 a.m. at Charlotte County local libraries. Join the fun in Wylliesburg, Keysville or Charlotte Court House. The event is free and will feature games, stories, crafts and more. Storytime will also be held for preschoolers ages 3-5. Call (434) 542-5247. This event will be held every Wednesday in the month of June.

JUNE 8

SPECIAL COMMUNITY EVENT, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Bacon District Firehouse. A special presentation with representatives from Tri-County Community Action will be held. The regular community meeting will be held from 7-8 p.m. This event is hosted by Wylliesburg/Red Oak Representative Kay Pierantoni.

JUNE 9

YOUTH RAINBOW TEA, 3 p.m. at Gill Hill Baptist Church in Keysville. There will be a speaker and a singing group. Everyone is invited. The church is located at 1427 County Line Road.

CHOIR DAY, 3 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak. Everyone is invited. The church is located at 4050 Salem School Road.

JUNE 10

USHER’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church. The Mossingford Young adult Choir will render the music. Refreshments will be served. All are invited.

JUNE 11-15

BLOOD DRIVE, 1-6 p.m. at the Drakes Branch Municipal Building, 4818 N. Main St.

JUNE 16

RANGER CHALLENGE, 1-3 p.m. at Twin Lakes State Park. This event is open to youth 14 years old and younger with a parent or other adult partner. Teams will compete in the Backyard Bass Casting game, a canoeing challenge, a corn hole challenge and an obstacle course. Awards ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. The same parent may participate in more than one team with each of their children. Register at “the sport” on the day of the event. Rain date is June 17.

OLE GRAND SETTING, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Central High Museum in Charlotte Court House. The third annual Ole Grand Setting will feature guest speaker the Rev. Michael Haskins, Principal of Central Middle School and the Salem Baptist Church Junior choir will render the music. There will also be a guest DJ, food for sale, vendors, games and a motorcycle/car show.

JUNE 17

APPRECIATION SERVICE, 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The service will honor Deaconess Ruby G. Gee. A sermonette will be given by the church Pastor, the Rev. James E. Goode. Everyone is welcome to attend. Lunch will be served.

DEMOCRATIC MEETING, 7 p.m. at the Drakes Branch Municipal Building, 4800 Drakes Main St.
