Mr. Ernest L. Coles, age 62 of Lynchburg, died on May 3, 2018 in Amherst. He was the son of the late Mrs. Lucille H. Coles and Mr. James Coles.

He is survived by one daughter, Carmaleta M. Coles of Lynchburg; two sons, Ernest T. Coles, Ritash James (Vivian) of Red House; four grandchildren, Rasheed, Treyvon, Neveah, and Londyn; three brothers, Reverend Calvin Coles (Janice) of Lynchburg, William H. Coles of Red House and James H. Coles (Debra) of Lynchburg; one sister, Annie Coles of Appomattox; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Red House with interment in the church cemetery. Condolences may be expressed a twww.JeffressFuneralHome.com. Arrangements were by Jeffress Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Brookneal.
