A presentation for the sidewalk project on Evergreen Road at Charlotte Court House could be shown at the May Town Council meeting in Charlotte Court House.

Commonwealth Regional Council (CRC) Development Planner Andre V. Gilliam said the meeting, originally scheduled for June, was requested to be moved up to May.

“The engineer is satisfied that they can take the project for (Virginia Department of Transportation) VDOT’s approval,” Gilliam said during the CRC’s April 18 meeting

The project, a 2,100-foot walkway along Evergreen Road leading to Randolph-Henry High School, is being conducted by engineering firm A. Morton Thomas (AMT).

AMT will present the sidewalk project during the Charlotte Court House Town Council meeting May 21 at 7 p.m.

“The project right now is ahead of schedule,” Gilliam said.
