Retired teacher shares love of reading

Phenix Elementary second-graders were privileged to have retired teacher Bonita Hamlett visit their classrooms to read to them. Hamlett read books about animals and the rain forest that went right along with the animal habitats unit the second grade students were working on. She also read a class favorite, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. A book was given to each student by the Charlotte County Retired Teachers. The class really enjoyed her visit. We commend Hamlett and the Charlotte County Retired Teachers for sharing the love of reading with our youth.
