Ms. Edwina Mae Eubanks, age 79 of Danville departed this life on Sept. 22, 2017 at Moses Cone Select Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Hezekiah Eubanks, Sr. and Marjorie Hodge Eubanks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Jerome, Leroy, Mary, Charlotte and Kermit and her beloved dogs, Dutchess and Meko.

Edwina is survived by three brothers, Roscoe Eubanks Sr. and Hezekiah Eubanks Jr. of Drakes Branch, VA and Isaac Eubanks (Lannie) of Petersburg, VA; two sisters, Mable Scott (Franklin) of Danville, VA and Sylvia Hambright Fertig (Mark) of Brooklyn, NY; one aunt, Alice Noby Eubanks; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Eubanks and Elfreida Teele (Lecount); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at noon at Gethsemane Presbyterian Church in Drakes Branch with interment in the church cemetery. Public viewing will begin on Tuesday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
