Evelyn Harris Foster, age 93 of Charlotte Court House, died Friday, August 11, 2017 in Keysville. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Harris and Lucy Burgess Foster. She was wife of the late James Albert Foster.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Albert Foster, her daughter, Vivian D. Harris, sisters, Annie Mae Henry (Wirt), Virginia Harris, and Gladys Harris.

She is survived by her son, Carl Harris (Ruby) of Charlotte Court House; stepsons, James Foster (Rose) of Chester, Leroy Foster (Elaine) of Waldorf, MD, Anthony Foster (Patricia) of Woodbridge, Jerome Foster (Beatrice) of Chester, and Wilbur Foster (Sarah) of Jacksonville, NC; a stepdaughter, Julia Foster Woodson (Gregory) of Woodbridge; a brother, Mr. Junious Harris (Miriam) of Petersburg; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House with interment in the Union Cemetery in Charlotte Court House.

Jeffress Funeral Home of Charlotte Court House was in charge of arrangements.
