September 4-6

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. Concord Baptist Church is located at 3225 Germantown Road. The word will be delivered by Pastor Bill Mason.

September 7

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY, 6 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church. Bible study is open to all women.

September 9

WOMEN’S ANNUAL TEA, 2-4 p.m. at Morrison Grove Baptist Church. All women are invited. Bring your favorite tea cup. This event is sponsored by the women’s empowerment bible study.

SOUTHSIDE CHRISTMAS PARENTS YARD SALE, 7 a.m.-noon at 135 American Dream Lane.

DONATION DRIVE, 8 a.m.-noon at Foodlion in Keysville. Ontario Christian Church will hold a donation drive. Items needed include baby supplies, baby food, personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies. Items will be taken to Gleaning for the World in Concord.

September 10

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m. at Nazareth Baptist Church. Pastor Charles Woolfork, of White Oak Grove Baptist Church along with his mass choir, will render the service. Dinner will be served afterward. Please bring a prayer or testimony with you.

CHURCH ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Amazing Bibleway Church in Buffalo Junction. Guest speaker for the evening will be the Rev. Wyatt Vaughan Jr. of Antioch Baptist Church. Music will be rendered by The Gospel Traveliers, of Farmville.

September 12

BLOOD DRIVE, 2-6 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church.

MEETING CHANGE, 6:30 p.m. at Sheldon’s Restaurant in Keysville. The Charlotte County Grays 1964 will host Byron Brady as the speaker for the afternoon. The meeting will begin with a Dutch treat meal. September 15

POW-MIA DAY, 11 a.m. at the Charlotte County Administration Building lawn. This event is hosted by the Charlotte County VFW Post 8902. Guest speaker will be Greg Eanes.

September 22

BLOCK PARTY, 4-7 p.m. at Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Keysville. The event will feature a bouncy house, dunking booth, barrel cars, Child ID service provided by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, food for sale and more.

September 30

BENEFIT RIDE, 9:30 a.m. at the Drakes Branch Pavilion. Southside Buffalo Soldiers will sponsor this ride for fallen Buffalo Soldier George Roberts. Cost is $15 per rider and $5 per passenger. Proceeds will assist with son Jacoby Roberts. For more information, call (804) 665-8860.

October 7

OPPORTUNITY FUND SKEET CLASSIC, 8 a.m. at the Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center in Appomattox for graduating high school seniors in Southside Electric Cooperative’s (SEC) service area. The individual registration fee for the skeet shoot is $75, while squads of five can sign up for $325. All participants must provide their own guns and ammunition, and skeet shooters of all levels are welcome. The event is limited to the first 50 participants, who must register in advance.
