BIBLE STUDY, 6 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. Bible study is open to all women.
August 5
BAKE SALE, 8 a.m. at Salem Christian Church in Fort Mitchell. The sale will include sausage, ham biscuits, pies, cakes and more.
PAMPLIN DEPORT BARN DANCE, 6-8 p.m. at the Pamplin Depot. Admission is free. Music will be provided by the Farm Use String Band. Dinner plates will be available for $5.
August 6
ROYALLIGHTS GOSPEL SINGERS, 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg. Various groups will appear.
HOMECOMING, 11:30 a.m. at Organ Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Whitfield Scott will deliver the message and the Organ Hill/St. Michael Combined Choir will render the music. Dinner will be served. Everyone is invited.
CHOIR ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Gill Hill Baptist Church. There will be many groups appearing on the program. The church is located at 1427 County Line Road in Keysville. Everyone is invited.
August 10
BLOOD DRIVE, 1-6 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Red Oak, 6700 Barnesville Highway. The drive is sponsored by Public Fork Christian Church.
August 12
FIRE DEPARTMENT FUNDRAISER, 8 p.m. at Red House Volunteer Fire Department. Enjoy dancing, fun and music by DJ Stan. Cost is $10 a person. All proceeds benefit the Red House Fire Department. For more information, call (434) 610-0783.
August 20
HOMECOMING, 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney will preach the morning service. There will be no afternoon service.
September 15
POW-MIA DAY, 11 a.m. at the Charlotte County Administration Building lawn. This event is hosted by the Charlotte County VFW Post 8902. Guest speaker will be Greg Eanes.
September 30
BENEFIT RIDE, 9:30 a.m. at the Drakes Branch Pavilion. Southside Buffalo Soldiers will sponsor this ride for fallen Buffalo Soldier George Roberts. Cost is $15 per rider and $5 per passenger. Proceeds will assist with son Jacoby Roberts. For more information, call (804) 665-8860.
