July 19

HOMECOMING, 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Glen Blackwell. A covered dish lunch will follow.

July 20

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY, 6 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. Bible study is open to all women.

July 19-21

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. at White Oak Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Stuart Jones, Pastor of Jordan Baptist Church will bring the word each night. Special music will also be rendered each night.

July 21

SERVICE NIGHT, Unit 50 American Legion Auxiliary, 3400 Rocky Ford Rd. in Crewe. This meeting will be held for all veterans needing VA paperwork help. Sarah Dunn, National Service person, will be on hand to answer questions and assist with needed paperwork. If you are a veteran or know a veteran who would like to know if you qualify for VA benefits, we welcome you to come to our service meeting.

July 23

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Brookneal. The Rev. Maurice Finney of Aspen Hill Baptist Church in Brookneal will be the speaker. His choir will render the music. The public is invited.

PASTOR INSTALLATION SERVICE, 3 p.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church in Saxe. The installation service will be held for Pastor Elect the Rev. John Craighead of New Rehoboth Baptist Church. The Rev. Ricky Sampson, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Drakes Branch will be the speaker. His choir will render the music. Everyone is invited. Dinner will be served following the service.

PRINCE/PRINCESS-KING/QUEEN CONTEST, 3 p.m. at New Witt Baptist Church in Farmville. The United for Christ Gospel Singers of Chase City will provide special music. The service is presented by New Witt Sunday School.

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Meherrin. This event will celebrate the 22nd anniversary of Pastor Haney Thomas, Jr. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Ricky A. Lee, Pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Chase City. All are invited.

MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Phenix. Music will be rendered by the White Oak Grove Mass choir, Sister Andrea Harvey, The Jackson Sisters and the New Creation of Appomattox. All proceeds will go to the White Oak Grove Baptist Church.

July 30

SCRAP IRON QUARTET CONCERT, 6:30 p.m. at Cullen Baptist Church. Everyone is invited.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY, 11 a.m. at Triumph Baptist Church in Darlington Heights. A car and motorcycle show and picnic luncheon will be held immediately following the service. Casual dress is encouraged.

September 15

POW-MIA DAY, 11 a.m. at the Charlotte County Administration Building lawn. This event is hosted by the Charlotte County VFW Post 8902. Guest speaker will be Greg Eanes.
