Osborne works to keep us safe

Several weeks ago, BLOG adviser Karen Osborne organized the Arrive Alive Prom Promise Presentation event for the student body at Randolph-Henry High School. The event included safety tips to help young people navigate the roadways before and after events and testimony of how distracted driving and drunk driving have impacted the lives of many in the community, including herself. Osborne told the students about her life-changing event of losing her father to a motorcycle accident during her second year of college. He was distracted and lost his life, she said. “That’s why I do what I do,” said Osborne. We commend Osborne for bringing so many young people together to understand the importance of attentive driving and helping save the lives of both students and adults across our community, not only during or after prom, but throughout the year.
