WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY, 6 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House. Bible study is open to all women.

CONCERT SERIES, 6 p.m. at Staunton River State Park. Farm Use String Band will be in concert. Admission is fee. A parking fee applies.

July 9

FAMILY AND FRIENDS/MEN’S DAY PROGRAM, 11 a.m. at Galilee Baptist Church. Dress casual. A cookout will follow the service.

TUPPERWARE FUNDRAISING PARTY, 2-4 p.m. at Wylliesburg Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. This event will benefit the Barksdale Cancer Foundation. Refreshment provided. Outside orders are welcomed. HOMECOMING, 10:45 a.m. at Mt. Ellis Baptist Church in Keysville. Pastor Lloyd S. Wesley Sr. will deliver the word of God. The Mt. Ellis Inspirational Chorus will sing songs of praise. Everyone is invited. The church is located at 8409 George Washington Highway. 

WOMEN’S DAY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at White Oak Grove Baptist Church in Farmville. The guest speakers for the day will the Rev. Dr. Kitty Smith, the Rev. Dr. Amy Walton, God’s Harvest Christian Center of Crewe, the Rev. Dorothy Reid, associate minister of Mossingford Baptist Church, and the Rev. Angela Cook, associate minister of Salem Baptist. The music will be rendered by White Oak Grove Male Chorus. Dinner will be served.

July 9-13

SPORTS CAMP, 6-8:30 p.m. at Central Middle School. Sports will include soccer, baseball and softball for boys and girls in Kindergarten to fifth grade. Volleyball will be offered for girls who have completed grades 4-6. This event is sponsored by Midway Baptist Church. BLOOD DRIVE, 2-6 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Phenix. The church is located at 2595 Midway Road.

September 15

POW-MIA DAY, 11 a.m. at the Charlotte County Administration Building lawn. This event is hosted by the Charlotte County VFW Post 8902. Guest speaker will be Greg Eanes.
