Ruby Louise Gregory Gee celebrated her 90th birthday with family, friends, colleagues and former students on Saturday, May 27.

Gee was born on May 25, 1927 and is the oldest offspring of the late Hillary A. and Lucille E. Gregory. She was married to the late Floyd I. Gee for 52 years.

Gee taught school 40 years in the Charlotte County School System. She is a lifelong member of St. Michael Baptist Church where she has held numerous positions, currently serving as church clerk, president of the missionary and working with Vacation Bible School.

She has also been active in the community and loves to travel, cook and make time to visit the sick and shut-in.

“I put God first and he is the head of my life,” said Gee. “He is the one that keeps and guides me.”

Gee has received many plaques for outstanding work performed in the community.
