Randolph-Henry High School’s outdoor track and field program had four representatives complete their seasons at the recent Region 2A East Championships in Elkton.

Junior Joey Hengeli set a new personal record in the boys 300-meter hurdles, finishing in 45.65 seconds to place ninth, just missing state qualification.

Placing ninth in the girls 100-meter dash preliminaries was junior Nadya Pettus, who finished in 13.47 seconds.

Senior George Sandridge placed 22nd in the boys 800-meter run, and sophomore Jacob Barker placed 25th in the boys 3200-meter run.

“These athletes continued to work on their skills throughout the season and had an opportunity to advance throughout the postseason,” R-H Coach Joe Freeland said. “I appreciate their dedication to improving weekly.”
