Mrs. Dorothy Moorefield Conner of Clover, passed away March 5, 2017. She was born in Halifax County, on June 2, 1931 and was 85 years old. She was the daughter of the late Willie Moorefield and the late Allie Blanche Moorefield and was raised by the late Tommy Moorefield and the late Erma Moorefield. She was married to the late Henry Wilson Conner.

She was a member of Clover United Methodist Church. 

Mrs. Dorothy Moorefield Conner is survived by her daughter, Linda Conner Dunn, and husband, William “Mann” Dunn of Randolph; a son, Richard Conner, of Mt. Laurel; two brothers, Ray Moorefield, and Jackie Moorefield; three grandchildren, Christy Powell, Michelle Gallimore, and Mandy Dunn; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Lewis, Ayden Gallimore, Leah Gallimore and Conner Gallimore.

She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Willie Thomas Moorefield, Martha Moorefield, Eric Moorefield, Jo Moorefield Davis, Lena Moorefield Davis, Arnie Moorefield, and Rebecca Green.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Bob Davis officiating, with internment in the Clover Cemetery.
