HEALTH FAIR, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Southside Virginia Community College in Keysville. The Heartbeats Nursing Club will sponsor the event in the nursing lab on campus.

FEBRUARY 25

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Wylliesburg Tastee Freez and the Keysville Polar Express.

FEBRUARY 26

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church. The speaker for the event will be Deacon Otis Dailey of Shiloh Baptist Church and The Banister Hill Male Chorus of Clover will render the music. A short skit performed by the youth department.

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM, 2 p.m. at New Witt Baptist Church in Farmville. Special guests for the event will be Pastor Leon Jackson and Zion Hill Baptist Church. The public is invited.

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church. The speaker will be the Rev. Waverly Brown, pastor of Rosebud Baptist Church in Dundas. A soul food dinner will be served. Everyone is invited.

BLACK HISTORY PROGRAM, 2 p.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church. The speaker will be Deacon Michael R. Haskins, along with a guest choir. Seniors will also be honored during the program. There will be a soul food dinner after the service. All are welcome to worship.

FEBRUARY 28

CATTLEMAN’S MEETING, 6:30 p.m. at FFF Hunting Preserve in Keysville. The proposed county fence ordinance will be the topic of discussion. Legal counsel will be present to give livestock producers an idea of how the ordinance will affect them. Other owners of hooved livestock are welcome to attend. PANCAKE SUPPER, 5-7 p.m. at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Drakes Branch. Plates will be sold for $5. All proceeds will benefit the summer mission trip. The church is located at 11555 Crafton’s Gate Hwy.

LENTEN LUNCHEON, noon at Keysville United Methodist Church. Speaker for the event will be Pastor Loretta Benninghove. Bring a sandwich, drinks and dessert will be provided. All are welcome.

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE, 7 p.m. at Keysville United Methodist Church. All are welcome.

MARCH 4

STEW, 11 a.m. at Butch Shook’s in Keysville. Cost is $7 a quart. This event is sponsored by the Charlotte County Retired Teachers. Proceeds will go towards scholarships. Stew can be pre-ordered by calling (434) 547-9676.

MARCH 6

SUBWAY CASHOLA NIGHT, 4-8 p.m. at Subway in Keysville. This event is sponsored by the Randolph-Henry Band Boosters.

MARCH 11

WINTER GALA, 6 p.m. at SVCC’s Workforce Development Center in Keysville. The event, held by Charlotte County Meals on Wheels, will feature dinner, music, door prizes and a silent auction. Tickets are $30. To purchase tickets, call (434) 736-8441.

WOMEN’S/MEN’S DAY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Mount Mitchell Baptist Church in Fort Mitchell. Area churches will participate in the program. Missionaries are asked to wear white or ivory. Refreshments will be served from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Everyone is invited.

APRIL 8

EASTER EGG HUNT, 2 p.m. at Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. This event is free to the public. The Easter Bunny will make a visit and prizes will be awarded.

APRIL 15

BARKSDALE SCHOLARSHIP, The Barksdale Cancer Foundation is sponsoring a one-time scholarship for high school graduates pursuing a medical career. Scholarship information and guidelines may be picked up at school guidance offices or or downloaded from www.charlotteva.com. Information must be received by April 15. RETIRED TEACHERS SCHOLARSHIP, the Charlotte County Retired Teachers will offer a scholarship to high school seniors or college students who will be future teachers. Applications may be picked up a the Randolph-Henry High School guidance office or by contacting Kaye at (434) 454-6238. Applications are due by April 15.
