Midway Baptist Church will hold a blood drive from 2-6 p.m. Jan. 17.

Organizers hope as people make their New Year’s resolutions, they will include remembering those who are in need of the “precious gift of life.”

“There is always a plea for more blood, and at the same time there seems to be less donors coming forward,” organizers said. “Our community always comes out strong to meet needs locally. We at Midway Baptist Church are asking you to come help us with this very important ministry of being a part of saving lives by becoming a blood donor. Your donation could save three lives. Why not start 2017 with an act of kindness, where you are blessed, by being the unknown hero to a family you will never meet?”
