DECEMBER 17

DECEMBER 18

CHRISTMAS MUSICAL, 6 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Phenix. The theme for the musical is O Night Divine and will include skits by the youth and a Christmas party immediately following. All are welcome.

COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE, 5 p.m. at Keysville United Methodist Church. All are welcome.

DECEMBER 25

CHRISTMAS DAY WORSHIP, 11 a.m. at Wylliesburg Presbyterian Church. The church is located at 506 Jackson Vaughan Road.

CHRISTMAS DAY WORSHIP, 10 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Red House. The church is located at 1055 Lawyers Road.

JANUARY 15

COAT DRIVE, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Mt. Ellis Baptist Church in Keysville. The drive is sponsored by The Kappa Rho Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. The community is requested to donate new and used coats, hats, gloves, scarves and other winter items for children and adults. The drive will run from now until January 15.

FEBRUARY 7

BEEKEEPING COURSE, 7-9 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Prince Edward Extension Office. This course is specifically designed for those who intend to start honeybee colonies.  Material covered will include: the history of honeybees, bee life cycle, seasonal management, equipment and supplies needed, integrated and sustainable management techniques, as well as hands on session for establishing new colonies. Tuition of $100 per family unit includes three textbooks, course notebook and CD with presentation summaries, additional resources, and one year’s membership in your local beekeeping club.
