The Bank of Charlotte County recently announced the appointment of Lauren T. Andrews, the daughter of Randy and Debra Andrews, of Charlotte Court House, as its Bank Secrecy Act officer. In this role, Andrews will be responsible for managing the functions associated with the bank’s program of compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and deposit regulations, according to a Bank of Charlotte County press release.

“We are excited to welcome Lauren to The Bank of Charlotte County team. Lauren has a strong local connection and background and certainly understands our market, having been raised in Charlotte Court House,” Bank of Charlotte County President and CEO Dexter Gilliam said. “Given Lauren’s many talents, we believe she has a great future with our organization as we strive to continue to meet the needs of our customers, shareholders and the community we serve.”

Andrews most recently served as a field representative for Congressman Robert Hurt in his Farmville office. She has also served as a magistrate for the 10th Judicial District of Virginia.

An alumna of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Government-American Politics and English, Andrews went on to attain her J.D. from the William & Mary School of Law.
