Mrs. Wanda Marie Evans Hewlett Capers, age 52, formerly of Charlotte Court House, died Sept. 1, 2016 in Crewe.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Capers of Crewe; son, John P. Hewlett III of Waynesboro; nephew, Antoine Evans of Philadelphia, PA; grandmother, Mrs. Isabel Evans of Phenix; eleven aunts, Melissa Hardy (Hill), Joyce Evans and Regina Evans of Brookneal, Gale Bolden (McKinley) and Margaret Morton of Charlotte Court House, Alberta Miller, Nadine Evans and  Roshelle Hancock (Calvin) of Phenix, Mary Elam of South Boston, Adele Blackwell of South Norwalk, Connecticut and  Sylvia Evans Waller (Garry) of Keysville; three uncles, Arthur Evans, Jr. (Chris) of Charlotte Court House, Fred Shuford of Maryland, Russell Evans of Brookneal; and two great aunts, Mary Alice Williams of Charlotte Court House and Edna Bradock of New York.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at St. Louis Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House, Virginia.  Arrangements were by Jeffress Funeral Home of Charlotte Court House.
