Patricia Phillips Ward, of Keysville, passed away Monday, Sept.12, surrounded by her family at her home.
Pat lived her life to the fullest throughout the years and had a strong love for golf, bridge, and Virginia Gentleman. She was a member of Ash Camp Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William C. Ward, Jr. Pat is survived by her daughter, Debra Ward Hunter and husband John T. Hunter, Jr.; a granddaughter, Courtney Hunter Godsey and her husband Michael; and a grandson, Alexander Wade Hunter all of Appomattox. Additionally, surviving Pat is a special friend and caregiver, Evelyn Harland.
Many thanks to all of her friends and devoted caregivers for making her time on earth so comfortable, and a very special thanks to Hospice. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, in Ash Camp Baptist Church with interment to follow in Ash Camp Memorial Cemetery, Keysville, VA. Donations can be made to HumanKind, formerly Presbyterian Homes & Family Services in Lynchburg, VA, and Charlotte County Rescue Squad.
The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.
