Lend a hand at Staunton River State Park as the staff plants native ferns to accent the park’s main entrance sign as part of Land Stewardship and Service Day, Sept. 24, 9:30 a.m.-noon.

Already embraced by timbers and a stone foundation, the sign needs local ferns as the final theme. The ranger leading the project will educate participants on the roles ferns play in the environment.
