Due to Sept. 5 being Labor Day, The Charlotte Gazette will be closed Monday. News submissions and advertisements must be submitted before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2 to be included in the Wednesday, Sept. 7 paper.

The Gazette wishes all of its readers a happy Labor Day weekend, and urges all to maintain caution when traveling over the holiday weekend.
