Ms. Gladys Harris, age 91 of Maryland, died on Sunday, July 17, 2016, in Clinton, Md. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lucie Burgess Harris. 

She is survived by a sister, Evelyn H. Foster of Cullen; brother, Junious W. Harris of Petersburg; nephews Carl Harris (Ruby) of Charlotte Court House and James Harris (Polly) of Petersburg; stepsons, James Foster (Rose) of Chester, Leroy Foster (Elaine) of Waldorf, Maryland, Anthony Foster (Patricia) of Woodbridge, Jerome Foster (Beatrice) of Chester and Wilbur Foster (Sarah) of Jacksonville, North Carolina; stepdaughter, July Foster Woodson (Gregory) of Woodbridge; and great nephew, Jason Harris of Petersburg. 

She was preceded in death by her sister, Annie Mae Henry and Virginia, and niece, Vivian Harris.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House with interment in the Union Cemetery.
