James Carlton ‘Jimmie’ Andrews

James Carlton “Jimmie” Andrews, age 85, of Charlotte Court House, VA, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. He is survived by two sons, Randy and his wife, Debra as well as Carlton and his wife, Shannon; daughter-in-law, Sheila and seven grandchildren, Blair and husband, Brandon, Brad, Lauren, Patrick, Mason and wife, Tia, Austin and Zach.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Tucker “Becky” and son, Michael “Andy” Anthony. Known to many as the Grocery Man Jimmie was the long-time owner/operator of Andrews’ Supermarket. He also served his community as a former member of the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors.
A graveside funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016, in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Phenix, VA. The family welcomed friends at the home of Randy and Debra Andrews, 531 LeGrande Avenue, Charlotte Court House, VA, in the afternoon and evening of Friday, May 27, 2016. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice with special consideration given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Charlotte County Rescue Squad.
The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is serving the family.
