Mr. Richard Conroy Terry peacefully returned to his maker on Monday, April 25, 2016. He was born in Mecklenburg County on August 23, 1928 to Eddie and Lena Elam Terry. Richard worked hard during the course of his life, retiring from Yonkers New York School System. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church where he was fond and supportive of his extended church family. Richard leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Nannie; daughters, Gail Taylor (William) and Rebecca Chery (Frantz); step-children, Ronald Johns, Wanda Johnson, Debbie Friday (Delmont) and Cheryl Anderson; grandchildren, Joy Gibson (Anthony), Shayna Watson, Lisa and Frantz Chery; step grandchildren, Patrick Johns, Robert Holmes III, and Spencer Anderson; great grandchildren, Layla, Anthony Jr. and Eli Gibson, Shayla, Amya and Keith Johnson; a sister, Esther Jamerson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held noon Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Drakes Branch, VA. Interment was in the church cemetery.
