American Legion Post 260 held its fundraiser on Nov. 7 at the Keysville Fire House. Approximately 125 people attended. The menu consisted of fried chicken, barbecue, baked beans, coleslaw and a variety of desserts. A love offering was accepted. American Legion Auxiliary provided the dessert and drink. The veterans gave out poppies on Veterans Day as well. This is the only fundraiser for the year. The house guard is called to participate in special events. Charlotte County Public Schools also had a very outstanding program to honor veterans.
