Youth excel in Fair Dairy Show

Eight youth exhibited 20 head of dairy cattle in the 2015 Five County Fair Dairy Show. These youth were judged in two categories — showmanship and conformation.
Showmanship evaluates the ability of the individual to properly manage and display their animal.
Conformation, on the other hand, evaluates the physical traits and potential productivity of the animal being displayed. Showmanship results were as follows: 14-19 years old — Bridgette Landis, first, Ryan Hamlet, second, Brooke Landis, third, and Cassie Long, fourth; 8-13 years old — Caroline Seal, first, Henry Landis, second, and Harold Landis, third; 5-7 years old — Kelly Womack, first.
In the Holstein department, the grand champion was a 4-year-old dry cow exhibited by Seal and the reserve champion was a Junior Yearling Heifer shown by Bridgette Landis.
In the Jersey department both the grand champion, a 3-year-old dry cow, and the reserve champion, a Senior Heifer Calf, were exhibited by Hamlet.
