Runnin’ Statesmen compete at Fork Union

The Randolph-Henry High School Runnin’ Statesmen cross-country team traveled to Fork Union Military Academy on Sept. 30 for the James River District Invitational. All the James River District schools were in attendance, including the boys powerhouse team Fork Union.

The boys race was dominated by Fork Union, with Goochland taking second place. The Statesmen placed third in a tiebreaker over Nottoway.

Chris Nichols (13th) and Nasheim Pettus (14th) continue to race strong for the R-H boys team.

The R-H girls team finished fourth behind Bluestone, Goochland and Nottoway.

Adrianne Nelson (second) continues to be a dominant runner for the Runnin’ Statesmen, and Megan Garrett (15th) also medaled at the meet.

R-H has two remaining meets left in the regular season.
