Old Time Dance on Halloween

Farm Use String Band will be playing for a Harvest Dance at the Pamplin Depot on Oct. 31 from 6-8:30 p.m. (dinner at 6 p.m., music at 6:30 p.m.)

Farm Use will also play at Baine’s Books and Coffee in Appomattox on Oct. 17 and at the Albemarle Cider Works on Oct. 24.

Weddings have forced the change in date/venue, as the years of work by Farm Use in playing the monthly Depot dances to help raise money to aid in its’ restoration, Farm Use String Band is proud to say that the Pamplin Depot is now a very desirable venue where folks want to wed, celebrate and hold reunions — even if they do want to do those things on “dance night.”

The dance meal will include a variety of homemade tasty fall favorites along with a drink and dessert, all for just $4. As always, the music and fun are free.

Community support for these monthly dances has grown by leaps and bounds as time has gone on; without it, the Depot might not be the attractive venue that it is now, home base for Celebrate Pamplin each year, host to community dances, meeting place for various community organizations like PALS and others and generally a well-utilized space to be proud of.
