At a recent meeting of the Charlotte County Planning Commission, a possible recommendation was made to be presented to the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors concerning the revisions of a conditional use permit for the rock quarry, formerly known as BMC Rock, Inc.

The proposed recommendation maintained that a buffer zone of 200 feet will be maintained at Lynn Royster’s property line and at that 200 feet, 25 feet could be used for the storage of dirt.

In addition, 200 feet will be maintained at the Route 47 border and then beyond that, 25 feet would be maintained on every other property line.

The Planning Commission voted unanimously to present this recommendation to the Charlotte County Board of Supervisors at the upcoming October meeting.
