The Charlotte County VFW Post 8902 will be holding a POW-MIA National Recognition Day at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Randolph-Henry High School auditorium.

Anyone is invited to the event which represents a day of remembrance to prisoners of war and those still missing in action today.

VFW Post 8902 quartermaster Butch Hamlett commented on the event, saying, “If we don’t bring this awareness of people missing in action and being prisoners, how will they ever know?”
